Mama Saudiya
I frequent a lot of coffee shops as you can tell, and I make drawings of the people in the shop, many of whom are from far-off lands. This particular coffee shop is a favorite gathering place for Middle Eastern folk and their families. The drawing above is of a Saudi Arabian grandma sitting at a table well-furnished with traditional snacks such as hummus, pita chips, stuffed grape leaves, and other Middle Eastern goodies. Another table near the window was occupied by a bevy of German ladies. I like living in a place where there are so many different nationalities.
