Davoud P's rug shop is one of my favorite stores in my neighborhood. I've bought many Persian rugs there over the years, most of them tiny beautiful gemlike pieces.He goes back to his native Iran every year to select more splendid carpets. In this sketch you can see rolled-up rugs as well as larger ones piled flat or hanging on the walls. When I visit, Davoud always offers me tea and cookies, whether I buy a rug or not.
